Ken Wagner

Ken Wagner connects Corby SA’s European investment team with opportunities in Asian-listed companies. He established the firm’s dedicated Asia-Pacific research coverage in 2019, developing a regional perspective grounded in company filings and ongoing dialogue with market participants. Fluent in Mandarin, German and Spanish, he supports communication across markets and research partners. He sourced four investments that represented more than 8% of the global portfolio. Ken focuses on understanding businesses in their local context while assessing how each opportunity fits the wider portfolio’s valuation and risk framework.

His research takes account of differences in disclosure practices, ownership structures and the competitive conditions facing companies across the region. He brings these considerations into discussions with European colleagues, helping them assess opportunities with appropriate local context. Ken’s approach combines close reading of financial information with an interest in how businesses generate cash, finance expansion and treat minority shareholders.
